The Unlucky Ones have a very special story behind the series. The elephant icons are inspired by an antique ivory necklace featuring over twenty hand carved elephant beads. The title comes from the unfortunate fate many elephants have faced due to poaching and exploitation.
Through these pieces, I continue my fascination with circus imagery. The use of animals for entertainment is both fascinating and morally complex, a contradiction that inspired this collection.
